The Testing Process

  1. Written Exam
  2. Practical Exam
  3. Get Your First CCPO

There are two stages to the Certification Process:

The Written Exam is a multiple-choice theory test, and the Practical Exam is an onsite assessment where a professional assessor observes the performance of all phases of the pumping operation, from set up, through to priming, placing and clean out.

The Practical Exam can only be taken once you have successfully passed the Written Exam. Candidates must pass both the Written Exam and the Practical Exam in order to be certified competent.

Candidates have twelve (12) months after they pass their Written Exam to take the Practical Exam.

Candidates who do not take and pass both exams within the 12-month timeframe will be required to start the certification process again from the beginning.
