Rescheduling, Cancellation & Withdrawals

Written Exam

Virtually Proctored Examination

Virtually proctored examinations can be rescheduled up to 6 days before the scheduled exam, with no rescheduling or cancellation fees. If the examination is rescheduled or cancelled from 2-5 days, there will be a 50% rescheduling fee or refund. After 2 business days the exam fees are forfeited. Requests for rescheduling or cancellations are to be communicated to the BCCSA Program Coordinator.

Test Centre Examination

For test centre examinations, rescheduling or cancellation require a notification period of 11 days for no additional rescheduling fees or a full refund. For rescheduling or cancellation, within 10-2 business days there is a 50% rescheduling fee or a 50% refund. Cancellation before 2-business days notice the full examination fee is forfeit. Requests for rescheduling or cancellations are to be communicated to the BCCSA Program Coordinator.

Emergency cancellations or withdrawals

In the option of test centre examinations, ONLY the following situations will be accepted as grounds for emergency cancellations or withdrawals:

  • Called to work: supporting documentation required (letter from employer)
  • Candidate illness: supporting documentation required (doctor’s note)
  • Family death: supporting documentation required (death certificate or obituary notice)

Request for medical and personal emergency withdrawals for the Written Examination are handled by BCCSA. Please write a letter or email describing your situation and be sure to include your full name, address, social insurance number along with the scheduled test date, site number and supporting documentation as indicated above.

BCCSA must receive your written notification within seven (7) business days after the scheduled examination date or you will forfeit all application fees. You will be allowed to reschedule for a future examination administration.


Practical Exam

Should you be unable to attend the practical assessment, Fulford Certification must receive notification as soon as possible so that they will work with the Company Dispatcher and Fulford Assessor to reschedule. Note: Candidates who are a “no show” for the examination will forfeit all application fees and will NOT receive a refund. Please refer to the BCCSA Refund Policy.

Please write a letter or e-mail describing your situation and be sure to include your full name and address, along with the scheduled test date, site location and supporting documentation as indicated above.

The Practical Examination normally requires that an Assessor to be present for the full day of pumping. In an instance where for unforeseen circumstances, one or two components of the examination were not completed, the Candidate may be able to book a part-day of assessment. This part-day of assessment will be at the discretion of the Test Coordinator and the Assessor. In such a case the part-day assessment fee would be $650.
