Applying for the Practical Exam
You can apply to take the Practical Exam once you have successfully passed the Written Exam. You have up to twelve (12) months after passing the Written Exam to apply for the Practical Exam. If you do not apply within this time period, note that you will need to re-take the Written Exam.
Before you apply for the Practical Exam, make sure that you know and agree to all of the Certification Policies.
To apply for the Practical Examination, please read the instructions below:
- Complete and submit the online application form. Follow the directions carefully when filling in the required information. Check your application to ensure that all information is accurate and complete. Incomplete applications and/or inaccurate documentation will delay the processing.
- The Program Coordinator will review your application, contact you, accept payment and forward your application to Fulford Certifications for scheduling a Practical Assessment appointment.
- When approved for the Practical Exam, you will receive an admission letter by e-mail. This admission letter will contain information regarding the test site address, the reporting time, the examination details, and the materials to bring to the test. This admission letter must be presented at the test site. Note: No candidate will be allowed to undertake a Practical Examination unless an admission letter, valid for the specific test date, is presented.
Candidates requesting special accommodations
Arrangements for persons with disabilities will be provided upon request, in accordance with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms as well as the Canadian Human Rights Act.
Professional documentation in support of a request for accommodation must be submitted to Fulford Certification with the application form.
